Diverse Solutions IDXpress – The Results Are In!

february to march comparison1 Diverse Solutions IDXpress The Results Are In!

Above is the traffic for the lowest performing wordpress site that I am working with that the Diverse Solutions IDXpress was installed.

The result? Over 400% increase in traffic in one month. (One site had over 700% growth in one month!)

You can see the notation of when it was installed and that is when the traffic started picking up and up and up!

This plugin is great! Not only does it provide you a search widget for your site but it will also create a page for every listing in the area you specify. EXAMPLE: If the neighborhood “Rolling Hills” has 125 listings available – the plugin builds….125 pages for your site! That’s right – - – indexable content for the search engines.

There are many other functions offered that make your site more robust for a nominal monthly fee.

How to Create Blog Content People Want to Read

Everyone always asks me, “what should I be doing to develop content…I need ideas.” So, below is my suggested routine to keep up with your blog:

DAILY:

  1. Go to Zillow or Trulia and read what potential buyers want to know that are in your area. Example: “Does adding a swimming pool increase the value of my home when I sell it?”  Sounds too basic right? WRONG, this is a valid question that someone wants to know the answer to!
  2. Write 300+ words and add to your personal blog and backdate the blog to 1-2 months prior.
  3. Return to Zillow or Trulia and answer the question with basic information “…but visit my site to read more about this topic.” and add the link to your site within your answer.
  4. Read your Google Alerts to see if there is anything interesting locally that is either related to real estate or current local event (I have a client who blogged about his local YMCA going into foreclosure and the amount of visitors it attracted to his site was insane!)

WEEKLY:

  1. Follow the HUD press releases and other government sites to keep up with current information and post to your blog.

MONTHLY:

  1. Run reports from MLS of how many properties are active, contingent, pending and sold and compare that to the current month. Be sure to break down by property type.

Where Does Your Website Traffic Come From?

google bing yahoo msn live search engine seo1 Where Does Your Website Traffic Come From?

Google may bring this business over 80% of their traffic today, but …

  • What if the next change Google algorithm update hits them hard?
  • What is going to happen to this business if their ability to rank well with Google goes away?
  • Does the majority of your traffic come from organic searches?
  • How much of your traffic is from a referral source?

Businesses today concentrate so much of their efforts based around Google that they sometimes forget about what the other source potential can be. Yes, Google is here and isn’t going away but take Google out of the picture…now what? What do you have?

Suggestions to drive referral traffic to your site:

  • Video marketing (TubeMogul, YouTube, etc.)
  • Emails and newsletters to your personal database (sphere of influence, past & current clients) – send them a short email with teaser links to your site or include a short video with links to items discussed in the video
  • Newsletters and other subscriber-based content to your list building database.
  • Blogging
  • Listing Syndication
  • Twitter
  • Real estate forums (ActiveRain Localism, Trulia and Zillow are some of the best)
  • Social networking (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Local business locators with Google, Bing and Yahoo (let me know if you have questions to submit your business properly)

Blogging Your Way To Riches (Or Let Someone Else Blog Your Way)

Blogging your way to riches! Real Estate Agents who have gotten on bored with a new way to advertise to buyers and sellers have begun to realize the massive potential to this new medium.

Blogging for businesses is truly a new wave of the future. Not only is using blogging as a major form of advertising very, very inexpensive, it carries a lot of weight with the home sellers and home buyers.

Everybody goes directly to the Internet now to gain useful information. It really is the first place they start the search for any problem they have. Using blogging you can be the expert they are searching for.

By having lots of posts detailing the new tax rebate for first time homebuyers, or going into over all about how to stage a home for sale you will attract buyers and sellers to your web site thereby giving you an opportunity to make them into clients. A great way to do that is to follow the blog with a “click to get more information” link. You can offer a free market analysis of their home, or offer to put buyers on an emailing list that will send them the newest listing in their area.

The possibilities abound with all the amazing ways to use a blog site. Not only will it make you lots of money it will put you and your business out to the public as an expert in your field.

Don’t have time to create and post your own blogs (yes, you should have multiple blogs for optimum SEO and lead generation)?
