Using H Level Tags for SEO

  • H level tags are identified by this html code (examples of the first three H levels):
    • H1 = <H1>Wordpress Real Estate Blogs</H1>
    • H2 = <H2>Blogging for Real Estate</H2>
    • H3 = <H3>Las Vegas Real Estate Blog</H3)
  • Include your primary keywords in the H1 level tag once per page / post
  • Using the lower level H level tags, break down the “topic” of your H1 level tag and you can use them more than once per page / post
  • NEVER hide the text in this tag.
  • H3 and below shouldn’t be used for the intent of SEO – they don’t carry as much weight
  • Learn how to tweak your CSS code when you wish to blend your H1 tag with your page content font styles.

Below is the code from the CSS that you can modify to blend your H level tags to blend with your site. Here you can change the color, font size, font family, and weight.

Note: Some WordPress blog themes use very large font as the default

SEOPressor Diary — Day 1

I have heard a lot of  great comments about SEOPressor so I decided to try it for myself.

Today I am purchasing the plugin that is supposed to help you get top rankings in Google. It analyzes each page and post so you can see how to improve each and then gives you powerful tools for Google to fall in love with your product.

Will SEOPressor stand up to it’s claim? Come back and see what I find out about this new WordPress plugin.

Diverse Solutions IDXpress – The Results Are In!

february to march comparison1 Diverse Solutions IDXpress The Results Are In!

Above is the traffic for the lowest performing wordpress site that I am working with that the Diverse Solutions IDXpress was installed.

The result? Over 400% increase in traffic in one month. (One site had over 700% growth in one month!)

You can see the notation of when it was installed and that is when the traffic started picking up and up and up!

This plugin is great! Not only does it provide you a search widget for your site but it will also create a page for every listing in the area you specify. EXAMPLE: If the neighborhood “Rolling Hills” has 125 listings available – the plugin builds….125 pages for your site! That’s right – - – indexable content for the search engines.

There are many other functions offered that make your site more robust for a nominal monthly fee.

Using ALT Tags & Plugins for Your Blog

Search engines cannot read an image like they do content on your page so you have to tell the search engines what the image is. By doing this you have the opportunity to add more content to your blog. If you are not familiar with .html programming don’t worry, there is a WordPress plugin that will do the work for you. (Aren’t WordPress plugins wonderful!)

When adding photos to your blog you should get into the practice of doing a few things:

  1. Install SEO Friendly Images (this plugins uses the name of the photo as an automatic ALT attribute)
  2. Name your photos something descriptive – change from disk001.jpg to 1234 Main Street Las Vegas NV Home for Sale.jpg
  3. When inserting the photo into your blog double check the description before posting

Below is a video of Matt Cutts discussing the ALT attribute:
